Re-public has been named design studio of the year at the Creative Circle Awards 2013 - and has taken home no less than four awards in total.
The honor is given for Re-public's work with the art publication Permanent Daylight, published by Swedish artist Jonas Liveröd. The publication has been awarded Gold in the Editorial Design category, and Jonas Liveröd has been honored as Client of The Year for recognizing the importance of good design.

The Copenhagen based DJ-collective Den Sorte Skole, have just released their long awaited third album for download.
The monumental composition – which will also be available on CD and vinyl in a limited and numbered edition – is a fine example of turntablism on the higest level: 90 minutes long, created from more than 10.000 individual samples from 250 old vinyl records, from 51 different nations across six continents.

Mr. Romeo Vidner, graphic designer at Re-public, has for the second consecutive year been asked to be a jury member at the Creative Circle Award.
Creative Circle Award is Denmarks most prestigious award for the creative business. The award celebrates the creative idea, the people who created it and the people who bought it.
The award show is held in Copenhagen on May 3rd 2013.

Re-public has developed the name and graphic identity for the Maersk HR conference.
The concept "Think" is formed as general theme for the conference, focusing on new ways of acting and thinking within Maersk HR – and expanded into "Think leadership", "Think talents", "Think value" etc.

We welcome Katrine Lihn, new designer at
Re-public.
Katrine holds a degree from Danmarks Designskole (The Royal Danish Academy, School of Design) and has also studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
She specialises in layout, typography and editorial design – and has been working freelance for a number of years, for clients like Gyldendal, Polfoto and Dansk Arkitektur Center.
Katrine is going to be a valuable addition to the team.

Re-public's new visual identity for Hartmanns has been completed.
The new logo was revealed last year, and we have since then been working with executing, implementing, launching and handing the new design over to Hartmanns internal communication department. And we can now present our most recent work in the case description.

Re-public has received the Red Dot Award: Winner 2012, for the visual identity for Grønbech & Churchill restaurant.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's largest and most renowned design competitions, with participants from around the globe. This year 6,823 competing projects was registered.
The awarded projects will be exhibited at The Red Dot Design Museum in Germany, which houses one of the world’s largest collection of contemporary design.

Re-public has over the last period of time been working with SOS International, updating the companys visual identity. The first results of our work are currently rolling out onto the streets of Finland.
The rescue trucks are the first of a larger fleet of vehicles, which will soon be a common sight on the roads of the Scandinavian countries.

The new ambitious café Ipsen & Co. has just opened at Gl. Kongevej in Copenhagen. Re-public has designed the visual identity.
Behind the name Ipsen & Co. stands owner Charlotte Ipsen, and her large network of dedicated suppliers and local producers.

The publication is the result of the latest collaboration between Liveröd and Re-public, since the award winning book The Violence.

Re-public's poster for The Triangle Project Part 2 has been awarded with honors in the swedish competition Kolla! på Affischen – Decenniets plakat 2002-2012.
Kolla! is an annual juried competition for graphic design and illustration, arranged by Svenska Tecknare (The Association of Swedish Illustrators), celebrating poster design from the last decade.

Re-public produces a 30 minute movie for Quartz+Co consultant agency.
In addition to presenting company events, highlights and achievements of the year, the movie also features the two CEOs engaging in amateur theatricals as Statler and Waldorf – the two old grumpy men from The Muppet Show.
The movie is produced in collaboration with photographer Nicholas Holm Møller.

Re-public produces the opening film for the Pandora A/W 2012 sales and marketing conference in Bangkok.
The conference is attended by representatives from 14 different markets, and more than 250 participants from Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

A new publication from Sandu Publishing presents a curated selection of contemporary Scandinavian graphic design.
The book offers an interesting view into the characteristic Scandinavian style, as it is seen from China - and shows how Scandinavian design and aesthetics are perceived and presented on the other side of the globe.
Re-public is featured with an interview and a couple of cases.

Re-public has just been nominated for next years German Design Award for the visual identity for Alex Poulsen Arkitekter.
The project has previously been awarded with the Red Dot Grand Prix 2011, but is now qualified for one more international design award.

Kulturhavn (Cultural Habour) is an annual harbour festival held every August at the Copenhagen waterfront. Kulturhavn presents the diversity of Copenhagen’s association and club life to the public at an active family-orientated festival in the heart of Copenhagen.
For the second consecutive year, the organization behind Kulturhavn has held an open competition in collaboration with the Re-public, to design the poster for the festival.
Interest in the competition has been increasing, and this year the jury had to choose between more than 80 different contributions.

As part of our longstanding partnership with Kopenhagen Fur, the world's leading fur brand and auctionhouse, we have recently completed an update of the company's visual identity.
The new work consists of a tightening of the logo and development of new decorative super graphics. The elements are seen here implemented in Kopenhagen Fur's latest publication: Fur - A Danish world success.

Re-public has been awarded with a Creative Circle Bronze Award 2012 for the visual identity for Grønbech & Churchill gourmet restaurant. Creative Circle is Denmark's most prestigious honors within advertising, design and communication.
The restaurant has also recently received its first Michelin star in the internationally renowned Michelin Guide.

In connection with creating the visual identity for the new Chinese fashion brand called ByWho, we have also been asked to design a series of t-shirts, which will be included in the first collection. Inspired by the optical phenomenon called moiré, we have created a series of graphic patterns, varying in form and color over the same basic theme.

Re-public has designed the DVD cover for a new documentary about Café Montmartre – the legendary 1960s Copenhagen jazz club. The film is written and directed by Christian Braad Thomsen.
Montmartre was one of the world's most important jazz clubs in the 1960s. Many of the great American jazz musicians came here to escape from the racism and drug abuse of the music industry in the USA.

Hartmanns is a rapidly expanding consulting business working broadly with temp assistance, HR products and recruitment for the Danish business world.
In connection with a comprehensive process of confirming the company's position and springboard narrative, Hartmanns has asked Re-public to create a new visual identity. The project is ongoing and will take shape over the next couple of months.

Re-public has won a Red Dot: Grand Prix in the Communication Design category, for the visual identity for Alex Poulsen Architects.
The project has previously been awarded with the Red Dot: Best of the Best award – but during the award ceremony in Berlin, the project also received the Red Dot: Grand Prix, the highest honor in the competition.

Neutral is considered the world's highest certified textile brand and continually strives to explore and develop new opportunities and initiatives to promote sustainable and ethical production in all parts of the production chain.

Re-public has been awarded a red dot: best of the best award, for the visual identity for Alex Poulsen Architects (APA).
The German Red Dot Design Award is one of the world's largest and most renowned design competitions, with participants from around the globe. Awards are presented in a variety of disciplines, including Communication Design, which this year has had no fewer than 6,468 competing projects registered.

The renowned chef Rasmus Grønbech, has just opened his new restaurant next to the Churchill Park in Copenhagen – hence named Grønbech & Churchill. Rasmus Grønbech has asked Re-public to create a visual identity for the ambitious gourmet restaurant.

Re-public has two projects shortlisted for a Creative Circle Award – Denmark's most prestigious honors within design and communication. The projects are packaging design for Kopenhagen Fur's fur box, and a mini identity for Alex Poulsen Architects.

Tiptoe Bigband Presents: Bigstep. Featuring Ena Egelund & Pops Jabu.
An 18 piece big band, a vocalist, a dancehall toaster and serious amounts of deep electronic bass: Trumpeter Lars Vissing and bassunist/arranger John Kristensen, has recorded an album together with Fyn's Professional Big Band, mixing together traditional big band jazz with pop, dancehall and dubstep bass rythms.

Re-public has designed the logo for Morefungkushi; a new team of hairdressers and makeup artists specializing in high fashion, shows and styling. The constellation is a collaboration between the three salons More, Fungus and Kushi.
The logo is custom designed with a style and flow, that reflects the uncompromising artistic approach that this team of stylist represent.

Re-public is working on a new visual identity and online platform for Saltoftehus Conference Center, housed at the long-established Saltofte Estate. The project includes a new logotype, a re-design of the family crest, and the development of a new website for the conference business.
The design solution brings the estate’s rich historical setting and scenic surroundings into focus, as the primary expressive element of the visual identity.

BoConcept, an international retailer of design furniture, has asked Re-public to create a wall decoration for a New York themed showroom, in their store in Copenhagen.
The graphic artwork is an expressive type treatment of the word New York, inspired by the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple.

Alex Poulsen Arkitekter was founded in 1944, but even an established studio with a long history is subject to constant change.
